Palolem
Beach is located near market town of chaudi in the south Goa taluk of Canacona.
Also it is about an hour drive from Karwar in Karnataka and about 40 minutes
from Margao in south Goa. Other nearby
beaches is Agonda beach and Colva beach.

This
beach is largely crowded with fishermen and tourists. It’s about an average
length of 1.6kms and a crescent shaped beach- one can view the whole beach from
either end. The ends of the beach consist of rocks projecting out into the sea.
The sea is very deep and being shallowest at the northern end of the beach to
make it safer for average swimmers. Also waves in these regions are probably
not fast.

Another
attraction off this beach is a stone sculpture created by an American artist
Jacek Tylicki called The Monkey Stone or “Give if you can – Take if you have to”.
It’s one of the pilgrimage destinations.
In
early days Palolem is not as much famous to attract any visitors. But now a day
we can see this is the one of the most beautiful beach of south Goa. The unique
culture and beach cottage accommodation are main keys to this beach. The sea
facing cottages have gained popularity and even attract people of India to this
beach. If we are planning to stay on Palolem beach we must prefer beach hut
rather that any fiver star hotels. We are here to enjoy the beauty of beach; it’s
happen only when we stay near or on the beach.

beach is between the months of October and April, at that time climate is lovely and sunny. Between
the months of December and February it can
be get very chilly at night.

By Train: Nearest railway station is
Madgoan which is 47kms from Palolem beach.
By Bus: Various buses are connected to and from major
